Nashville recording artist, Tammie Davis, headlined this summer’s second Music Under the Stars concert at Shallowford Square in Lewisville, North Carolina.

Music at the Square

Singer-songwriter Tammie Davis and her band rolled into the Town of Lewisville, North Carolina last Saturday evening (August 8, 2009) for the town’s second Music Under the Stars summer concert. Originally from Lincolnton, North Carolina, Tammie now lives in Clemmons with her husband Mike.

For nearly two hours, Tammie and her band filled Shallowford Square with some sweet and sassy music that included Country, Southern Rock, and Americana selections.

SPECIAL GUEST
During the band’s intermission, 12-year-old CiCi Jansen from Charlotte belted out a few of her “new Country” favorites to an appreciative audience. CiCi has been winning music competitions lately, and she especially likes the music of Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.

  1. Charlotte Jansen says:

Tammie and CiCi put on a great concert! It was a beautiful evening for the event with a unique and comfortable venue. Having the concert there was a wonderful idea, and I saw a friend that I went to school with from 1st grade throught 12th, Debbie Phillips…..one of the gentlest, most kind-hearted people I’ve ever met. It was great to see you, Debbie, and the pictures of the concert say it all…..the singers are not the ONLY talented ones that were there that night. You did a great job covering the event and portraying it with your photography. It was so good to see you.

  2. My, how time has flown by, Charlotte! It was great seeing you again and meeting CiCi for the first time. It was a pleasure taking photos of her.

Thanks for your kind words about my photography — I truly enjoy the challenge of capturing the energy and emotion of real moments.

By the way, I only wish I could really live up to your recollections of my gentleness and kind heart!

All the best to you and CiCi as you continue to follow where her talent leads.

Tell CiCi to keep on smiling — and singing from her heart!
