Deb, I am so interested in Lewisville, and your comments. I graduated from Lewisville High School in 1943, and I am still in touch with several of my classmates. I knew some of the Jennings, and I wondered if Grace Jennings is your mother, or maybe an aunt?

Lewisville has some special memories for me – I am so proud it hasn’t become like Clemmons with all the commercialism.

I have three great nieces I would love for you to photograph sometime. Keep up the good work!

    Blessings,
    Clendon Newsom

  2. Clendon, yes, Grace is my mom! I can’t wait to tell her you’ve visited my blog! If you haven’t already discovered it, I’ve included an article about the mill on my blog at:

    https://lewisvillephotos.com/the-old-mill/lewisville-roller-mills
That article includes lots of historical photos related to the mill.
I’m crazy about kids and would be thrilled at the opportunity to photograph your great nieces sometime. I’ll send you a separate email.

    Thanks so much, Clendon.

P.S. Once a Lewisville girl, always a Lewisville girl?! 🙂

Photographs are, of course, about their makers, and are to be read for what they disclose in that regard, no less than for what they reveal of the world as their makers comprehend, invent, and describe it. —Allan Douglass Coleman
