Beautiful Classic Cars

If a machine can be “beautiful,” then the classic cars at Lewisville’s 25th Anniversary Celebration on August 13, 2016 could be considered real stunners.

And, of course, wherever there’s a Ford, you can be sure there’s always a Chevy close by. That’s just the way of the car world.

Another Rival

Yet elsewhere on Shallowford Square, there was a newer automotive rival, an occasionally very loud automotive rival — one that appealed to the young and the young at heart perhaps as much as the beautiful old classics.

If you’re just the least bit curious about that rival, please continue to the NEXT SECTION.

Stay Tuned

While my day job limits the time I have for posting on LewisvillePhotos.com, stay tuned for more photos of Lewisville’s 25th Anniversary Celebration in the coming days. We’ll see children engaged in a number of fun activities. We’ll see — and hear — historical re-enactors and the singers and musicians who were part of Lewisville’s big day.

So don’t go far. There’s more to come!

All photographs are there to remind us of what we forget. In this - as in other ways - they are the opposite of paintings. Paintings record what the painter remembers. Because each one of us forgets different things, a photo more than a painting may change its meaning according to who is looking at it. —John Berger
