A Day in the Park
Several diverse events took place in Lewisville yesterday. Of the two from which I secured some good photos, I’ll feature today the A Day in the Park event held at Shallowford Square.
The event’s sponsor, the Epilepsy Institute of North Carolina, with NCEASE (North Carolina Epilepsy Awareness Support and Education), orchestrated a day of fun, food and music in an effort to promote awareness, support and education regarding epilepsy.
Enthusiasm and fellowship were evident all around Shallowford Square. Kids were bouncing, sliding and getting snazzy (non-permanent) tattoos! Adults were also involved with their children and conversed with each other, while often taking in the support and information available on epilepsy. Rock-and-roll music was provided by the Winston-Salem-based band, Sub Q.
