The day may have been overcast, but the plans for building the future Lewisville Town Hall were crystal clear.

On Tuesday, January 13, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Town Hall took place at the corner of Shallowford Road and Lucy Lane. A small but supportive crowd gathered to witness the proceedings.

Members of the town council, the architectural firm, and the construction company, along with Mayor Dan Pugh and town manager, Cecil Wood, took up the ceremonial shovels and officially broke ground for the new Town Hall.

The new building promises to be not only a beautiful architectural addition to the town, but will practically serve the growing need for more file storage space, as well as providing additional space for offices and meeting areas.

Heading up the Town Hall’s design was Matt Messick from Walter Robbs Callahan & Pierce Architects, PA. The construction firm is Hickory Construction Company, which has already begun working at the site.

I like very deep, saturated, rich colors in the images, and so I don't like to work in bright light, and prefer overcast situations. Even at the end of the day, I like to work in shadow rather than that magic hour of light. —Steve McCurry
