Site Objectives

LewisvillePhotos.com

LewisvillePhotos.com launched on August 1, 2008, primarily as a blog (located on the Home page) promoting the pursuit of adventure and inspiration in the small town of Lewisville, North Carolina (USA).

Lewisville residents enjoy quick and easy accessibility to nearby Winston-Salem and Clemmons, while benefiting from Lewisville’s quaint, less-stressed atmosphere. A variety of year-round community events and activities — many of them held in the Town Square — make Lewisville an increasingly appealing destination, as well as an exceptional place to live.

In addition to covering the local community in the blog, photography is a key component to both discovering and conveying the sought-after adventure and inspiration, and will itself be a subject of discussion in the blog.

Ancillary goals for LewisvillePhotos.com are to:

  • Heighten community awareness of the town’s events, news, activities, people, businesses and characteristics.
  • Raise the level of citizen excitement and pride in the town.
  • Promote community interaction via the blog.
  • Complement the promotional efforts of existing town entities, both official and unofficial.
  • Serve as an additional promotional vehicle aimed toward prospective residents and businesses.

Finally, of utmost importance:

  • Attention will be given to maintaining an upbeat, family-friendly, non-political tone at LewisvillePhotos.com — from the blog posts and the moderated comments, to all photos, articles and ad content.

Visual ideas combined with technology combined with personal interpretation equals photography. Each must hold its own; if it doesn't, the thing collapses. —Arnold Newman
